About
Dr Nishani Atapattu graduated with her MBBS from the University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka in 1999. She went on to complete specialist training in Radiology and successfully obtained a Doctor of Radiology (MD) from the University of Colombo Sri Lanka in 2008.
Dr Atapattu undertook radiology training in Sri Lanka, worked as a post-MD trainee at Barwon Medical Imaging in Geelong Hospital Victoria and completed fellowship training in both breast and musculoskeletal imaging at Royal Perth Hospital in 2016.
Dr Atapattu was a Radiology Registrar at Toowoomba Base Hospital from 2016 – 2018 before being appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Toowoomba Base Hospital in August 2018. She joined Queensland X-Ray in 2019 and has a special interest in breast imaging.
