We are pleased to announce that as of 1 November, the Medicare rules for MRIs in regional and rural areas changed. This means that patients can access Medicare benefits for MRI scans performed at our MRI locations in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Toowoomba (where the scan meets Medicare eligibility requirements).
This is fantastic news for the community and will play a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes and accessibility to MRI services throughout these regions.

NOTE: Medicare criteria must be met for benefits to apply. Also, multi-region MRI examinations (e.g. brain and spine) and some specialised MRI examinations (i.e. breast, cardiac, prostate, female pelvis and liver examinations) attract additional fees due to their complex nature.
