The Drop Bears are a senior ice hockey club (established 2019) competing in the Brisbane United Ice Hockey League (BUIHL) playing at both Acacia Ridge and Boondall Ice Worlds. They currently have two teams within the franchise playing in Divisions 2 and 3 and their vision is to be the gold standard in creating a positive environment for adults to participate in competition ice hockey, while also supporting junior players in their development and transition into the senior game.
The Drop Bears strive to promote and grow the sport of ice hockey within the greater community. They encourage fair play and good sportsmanship both on and off the ice, with a focus on player safety and having fun. Queensland X-Ray are excited to support this team that is set on providing an example for all other ice hockey teams to follow.
