Dr Stephen Mego

About

Dr Stephen Mego graduated with his MBBS with first-class honours from the University of Queensland in 1986, where he was awarded the University Gold Medal.

Following completion of physician training in 1995 with the Division of Paediatrics at the Brisbane Royal Children’s Hospital, Dr Mego went on to work as a Consultant Paediatrician in North Brisbane and London for 10 years.

Dr Mego completed advanced physician training in Nuclear Medicine at the Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals in Brisbane and gained his fellowship in Nuclear Medicine in 2006. He has previously worked as a Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician at Prince Charles Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. He is presently a Senior VMO in Nuclear Medicine at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Dr Mego joined Queensland X-Ray in 2022 where he works as a Nuclear Medicine Physician.
