Dr Bruce Goodwin graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 1988. Prior to completing his Nuclear Medicine training at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital, Dr Goodwin was an established Consultant Paediatrician in Brisbane. Dr Goodwin worked in Townsville establishing the Nuclear Medicine and PET department at the Townsville University Hospital, before accepting the position of Senior Paediatric Nuclear Medicine Physician at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in 2014.
Dr Goodwin is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in both Paediatrics and Nuclear Medicine, and a Fellow of the Australian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists. He has presented at numerous local, national and international conferences, co-authored several peer-reviewed publications primarily in paediatric nuclear medicine and is a member of various college committees involved in the training of Nuclear Medicine specialists.
Dr Goodwin joined Queensland X-Ray in 2020 and practises as a Nuclear Medicine Physician, with a specialist interest in Paediatric Nuclear Medicine, across Brisbane.
