About
Dr Anamika Sharma grew up in North Africa and Hobart and obtained her MBBS (Hons.) from the University of Tasmania. She completed her radiology training in Melbourne and holds a Master of Medicine from the University of Sydney.
Dr Sharma has fellowship experience across paediatric, musculoskeletal, and head and neck radiology. In June 2024, she was awarded a Diploma in Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology from the European Society of Gastro-Intestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR). She has completed multiple specialist courses and more than 500 training and real-life cases in prostate MRI, with further training ongoing.
Previously, Dr Sharma worked as a consultant radiologist at a dedicated cancer hospital interstate, where she served as the lead lung cancer MDM radiologist for 18 months. She is an accredited NIOSH B-reader and completed a six-month dedicated Breast/Women’s Imaging Fellowship in 2025.
Dr Sharma joined Queensland X-Ray’s Townsville sites in March 2018 and commenced practice in Brisbane in July 2019. Her clinical interests include general radiology, a range of subspecialty areas, and Tier A procedures.
