About
Dr Anamika Sharma grew up in North Africa and Hobart and obtained her MBBS (Hons.) degree from the University of Tasmania and completed radiology training in Melbourne. She has acquired a Masters in Medicine from the University of Sydney.
Dr Sharma has fellowship experience in paediatric, MSK and head and neck radiology. As of June 2024, she holds a diploma in gastro-intestinal and abdominal radiology from the European Society of Gastro-Intestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR). She has also completed several courses and over 500 training and real-life cases of prostate MRI, and counting. She has previously worked as a consultant at a dedicated cancer hospital interstate and was the lead lung cancer MDM radiologist for 18 months.
Dr Sharma joined Queensland X-ray Townsville sites in March 2018, and commenced in Brisbane in July 2019. She is interested in general radiology, various sub-specialties and Tier A procedures.
