Dr Alexis Ford completed radiology training at Gold Coast University Hospital and completed a fellowship in paediatric diagnostic and interventional radiology at Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH). She has also completed a fellowship at Queensland X-Ray in adult interventional radiology.
In 2026, Dr Ford joined Queensland X-Ray as a consultant radiologist. She also works as a paediatric interventional radiologist at the Queensland Children's Hospital.
Prior to radiology, Dr Ford graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Canberra, completing a thesis in military justice law. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Master of Traumatology.
Dr Ford serves as a Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, holding the rank of Major and serving both within Australia and overseas.
