Queensland X-Ray has officially opened its newest practice Gold Coast Lumina, marking an important milestone as the sixth location on the Gold Coast and the first in the region to offer PET/CT services.
Located within the Gold Coast Health & Knowledge Precinct in the Lumina building, the new practice expands access to high-quality medical imaging for the local community. With more than 50 practices statewide, Queensland X-Ray is one of Queensland’s largest and longest-standing radiology providers, recognised for delivering trusted diagnostic imaging services across the state.
The Gold Coast Lumina practice is led by experienced Radiologist Dr David Oar and offers a comprehensive range of imaging services, including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, and PET/CT.
The introduction of PET/CT services on the Gold Coast represents a significant enhancement to local healthcare access, providing patients and referrers with advanced diagnostic imaging.
The practice features a digital PET/CT scanner, enabling efficient workflows, faster scan times, and increased service capacity. This advanced technology enhances image clarity while supporting improved patient comfort and experience.
