Lung Foundation Australia has launched its latest campaign, Lung Health for All, highlighting its role in supporting the delivery of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, including a focus on equitable access to the screening program for high-risk populations.
Eligible patients can participate in the program by obtaining a referral from their GP or healthcare provider. As a provider of the NLCSP, once referred, patients can attend any participating Queensland X-Ray practice to receive a bulk-billed low-dose chest CT scan.
By removing financial barriers and encouraging screening, the NLCSP aims to detect lung cancer earlier and help to improve survival rates for Australians most at risk.
