Queensland X-Ray - Wynnum
On June 1st, after 30 years serving the Bayside community, Queensland X-Ray Wynnum relocated to a new, larger location at 89 Tingal Road, Wynnum, next door to its original Clara Street practice .
Queensland X-Ray Wynnum first opened on 8 January 1996 and has remained a trusted part of the local healthcare community ever since. What began as a small practice offering X-ray, ultrasound, and CT has grown into a comprehensive community practice, providing a broad spectrum of advanced diagnostic imaging services to the Bayside region.
Over the years, the practice has grown to meet increasing demand. In 2000, Queensland X-Ray expanded into the former Dulux Paint shop. This major renovation doubled the practice’s floor space, expanded the patient waiting area, and created additional capacity for imaging services and consulting rooms.
Further refurbishments followed over the years, modernising the practice and broadening its imaging capabilities, including the installation of an MRI service in 2015.
The new Tingal Road practice officially opened on 1 June 2026 and represents the next chapter for the long-standing practice. The larger site increases patient capacity, helping reduce wait times while enabling access to an expanded range of imaging services. The site is equipped with new MRI, CT, and mammography units, alongside modern ultrasound and X-ray equipment.
Additional services now available at Wynnum include CT Calcium Scoring (CTCS) and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.
Queensland X-Ray Wynnum is led by Managing Radiologists Dr Elizabeth Carter and Dr Toni Cheatle.
The move marks an important milestone for Queensland X-Ray Wynnum as it continues to invest in delivering high-quality, accessible diagnostic imaging services to the Bayside community for decades to come.
