Dr Shiromi Prematunga
Dr Shiromi Prematunga graduated with her MBBS from the University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka) in 1999. She completed her residency and specialist training through teaching hospitals in Kandy and Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Dr Prematunga obtained MD, Radiology from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2005. She has subsequently undertaken a general Radiology fellowship through Royal Melbourne Hospital in 2007. Dr Prematunga holds a staff specialist position at the Townsville Hospital and was the Director of Training for the Department of Medical Imaging from 2012 to 2016. She is an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and is a Senior Lecturer at the James Cook University. Dr Prematunga joined Queensland X-Ray in 2012.
