Queensland X-Ray to see athletes through GC2018

Queensland X-Ray has joined GC2018 as the Official Supplier of Medical Imaging Services, offering medical imaging services to athletes and teams from 70 nations and territories during Games-time.

As the largest private radiology provider in Queensland, led by over 90 Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Queensland X-Ray brings a wealth of medical imaging experience to the Games.

Queensland X-Ray will provide ultrasound and plain x-ray services at nominated GC2018 venues as well as more complex imaging services, like MRI and CT scans, at our Gold Coast Private Hospital and Southport practices. Their services will also extend north to event cities in Townsville and Cairns.

Chief Executive Officer, Dr Robert Clark said being the Official Medical Imaging Supplier of GC2018 is a natural and exciting partnership.

“Our radiologists, technical and administrative teams have worked long and hard to deliver this standard of service to the local Gold Coast community; and we’re now very excited to be able to extend this expertise to world-class athletes and sporting teams.

We’re providing ultrasound and plain x-ray services within the poly clinic at the nominated GC2018 venues to support the delivery of these services; and we will be delivering the more complex imaging services such as MRI and CT scans at our comprehensive Queensland X-Ray Gold Coast Private Hospital and Southport practices.”

GOLDOC CEO Mark Peters believes Queensland X-Ray will provide a high level of care for athletes, wherever they may be competing.

“Having an experienced local Medical Imaging Provider such as Queensland X-Ray on board ensures athletes will receive the best medical care possible regardless of what venue they are competing at.

As a Queensland business success story, I welcome them to the GC2018 Sponsor Family.”
