Inpatient Fees for Service
If you should require any services by Queensland X-Ray during a stay in hospital you will receive a separate account from Queensland X-Ray. Queensland X-Ray is a separate entity to the Mater Private Hospital. If you do not have a Pension card or Veterans Affairs Gold Card there will be a gap payment that you will need to pay to Queensland X-Ray.
You will be able to claim reimbursement through Medicare and your private health insurance. We have a policy whereby we do not charge more than a $175 on imaging procedures carried out on any one day.
If imaging is performed outside normal practice hours, an additional charge may be incurred which is not claimable on Medicare or your private insurance (excluding MBF members).
If you are an MBF member, there will be no out of pocket expenses.
If you are undergoing any interventional procedures you will incur an additional fee (excluding MBF members).
