Queensland X-Ray and our environment

Queensland X-Ray is committed to meeting all relevant regulatory and legislative environmental requirements to achieve continual improvement in environmental performance and to prevent pollution.
We strive to:

•    Provide imaging digitally via QXRWeb Images to reduce use of films, envelopes and paper reports.
•    Identify opportunities to reduce waste
•    Provide education and training for our staff to empower them to heighten environmental awareness and
     protect our environment.

 

PRINT AND PAPER PRODUCTS
Queensland X-Ray chooses to use environmentally green products wherever we can in our print and paper products.
Our Report Paper and Referral Pads are printed on paper that carries the following environmental credentials:

 

PEFC – Programme for the Endorsement Forrest Certification, provides a framework for the development of and international recognition of national forest certification schemes that have been developed locally.
Sustainable Forests - Paper has been derived from resources managed to ensure renewability and preserve natural ecosystems for generations to come.

EMS (Environmental Management Systems) – External certification for paper mills and continual monitoring of key environmental factors.

ECF – (Elemental Chlorine Free) – Pulp is bleached without Elemental Chlorine which is difficult to filter and harmful to the environment.

In addition, our stationery supplier carries the Forest Stewardship Council Certification.

 

Other products that we print will carry environmental credentials wherever possible including:

Made Carbon Neutral, 100% recycled, Made entirely of paper waste that has had a commercial life and would otherwise have ended up as landfill.
