Chairman and CEO, Dr Philip Dubois MBBS, FRCR, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: A Queensland graduate, Dr Dubois also spent ten years in academic radiology in the United States of America. He was Associate Professor of Radiology at Duke University Medical School (USA), then Chief of Neuroradiology at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital and Director of Computerised Medical Imaging of South California. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1982 and is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Queensland Medical School.

Areas of special interest: Neuroradiology, MRI, nuclear imaging, PET/CT.

Dr Nick Daunt MBBS, FRCR, FRANZCR, DMRD, DRCOG >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Daunt underwent Radiology and Nuclear Medicine training at Registrar and Senior Registrar levels at Westminster and Guy’s Hospital, London, and is a former Staff Radiologist at Royal Brisbane Hospital. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1984 and is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Queensland Medical School.

Areas of special interest: Interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and MRI.

Clinical Experience: Dr Ready graduated from the University of Queensland and completed Registrar training at Mater Public and Princess Alexandra Hospitals, Brisbane. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1984 and is VMO to Mater Children’s, QEII, and Greenslopes Hospitals. He also completed a Visiting Fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto (Canada) in 1996.

Areas of special interest: Paediatric radiology, musculoskeletal imaging and intervention.

Clinical Experience: Dr O’Rourke is the former Director of Radiology at Mater Public Hospital, Brisbane. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1985.

Areas of special interest: Musculoskeletal ultrasound and chest imaging.

Dr Piyoosh Kotecha MBChB (UK) FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Kotecha has completed Medical residencies at Wakefield Hospital (UK) and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. He worked in Paediatric Radiology, in Toronto (Canada) and joined Queensland X-Ray in 1986.

Areas of special interest: Paediatric radiology, ultrasound and CT.

Clinical Experience: Dr Storey joined Queensland X-Ray in 1988. He is Director of Radiology St Andrew’s and St Vincent’s Hospital in Toowoomba.

Areas of special interest: MDCT particularly vascular and coronary artery CT.

Dr Stephen Keller MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Keller is an Honours Graduate from University of Queensland Medical School. He underwent an Internship and two years of internal medicine training at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, and completed his Radiology Registrar Training at Princess Alexandra Hospital. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1988, and has a long term VMO position at BreastScreen Queensland.

Areas of special interest: Women’s imaging, musculoskeletal and chest imaging.

Dr Peter Lush MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Lush trained at the Princess Alexandra and Royal Brisbane Hospitals before joining Queensland X-Ray in 1989. He is a visiting consultant to QEII Hospital.

Areas of special interest: Ultrasound, bone mineral densitometry, CT, MRI and women’s imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, and pulmonary imaging.

Clinical Experience: Dr Leibowitz is the former Consultant Radiologist at Hillbrow Hospital in Johannesburg. After moving to Australia he became Deputy Director of Radiology at Mater Public Hospital, Brisbane, and joined Queensland X-Ray in 1989.

Areas of special interest: MRI, interventional radiology, ultrasound and mammography.

Clinical Experience: Before Dr Legh began his career in Radiology, he completed a Diploma in Obstetrics in 1981. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1990.

Areas of special interest: MRI, interventional radiology, ultrasound and mammography.

Dr Denis Gribbin MBBS, D(OBST) RCOG, FRACGP, FRANZCR, Mem. ANZAPNM >>

Clinical Experience: A graduate of the University of NSW, Dr Gribbin trained in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Royal Brisbane Hospital. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1993 and underwent PET/CT training at the Peter MacCallum Centre, Victoria, in 2008.

Areas of special interest: Nuclear medicine, oncology imaging and nuclear cardiology, PET/CT.

Dr John Fenwick MBChB, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Fenwick graduated in 1992 and undertook a one year Cardiac Radiology fellowship at Green Lane Hospital, Auckland, training in Coronary Angiography and Paediatric Cineangiocardiography. He then completed a six month Fellowship in Echocardiography and Cardiac MR at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Dr Fenwick joined Queensland X-Ray in 1993, and has substantially contributed to the Echocardiography service and helped initiate the provision of Cardiac MR and Coronary CT angiography by the practice.

Areas of special interest: Cardiac ultrasound, CT and MRI, non-invasive vascular imaging, abdominal imaging, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Clinical Experience: Dr Boles trained at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital before joining Queensland X-Ray in 1995.

Dr Gregory Slater MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Slater was a Radiology Registrar and Visiting Radiologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital. He undertook a Clinical Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston (USA). Dr Slater joined Queensland X-Ray in 1995.

Areas of special interest: Interventional radiology and abdominal imaging.

Dr Colin Lewis MBChB (UK), FRACS, DMRD, FRCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Lewis completed registrar training in Birmingham UK, and was senior Lecturer of Radiodiagnosis at the University of Nairobi. He joined a private practice in Sydney in 1977 and Co-founded Cairns Diagnostic Imaging in 1992. Dr Lewis joined Queensland X-Ray in 2001.

Areas of special interest: CT and MRI.

Dr Brett Morgan-Evens MMBCh, FFRad (d) (SA), FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Morgan-Evens trained at the University of Natal Medical School Radiology Department, commencing as a Consultant Radiologist and then as a Consultant Neuroradiologist. He commenced private practice in Durban and later joined Queensland X-Ray in 1998.

Areas of special interest: Cross-sectional imaging, breast imaging, vascular and general interventional procedures.

Dr Neil Orr MBBS, FRANZCR, DDU >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Orr trained at Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, St Vincent’s and Sydney Hospitals. Later, he gained invaluable overseas experience at the Middlesex and Northwick Park Hospitals (UK). He completed a Fellowship at Yale University in Ultrasound, CT and MRI, before joining Queensland X-Ray in 1994.

Areas of special interest: Women’s imaging and ultrasound.

Dr Viola Nicolson MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Nicolson trained at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, before advancing her expertise abroad. In America, she completed a Body Imaging Fellowship at the University of Birmingham (USA), and was a Chest and Bone Radiologist at Emory University, Atlanta. In London, she was an Oncology Imaging Consultant at Royal Marsden Hospital. Dr Nicolson joined Queensland X-Ray in 1994, and is a VMO at Greenslopes, Mater Hospitals, St Andrew’s and St Vincent’s Hospitals.

Areas of special interest: Oncology, body imaging and mammography.

Dr Elizabeth Carter MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Carter undertook special interest training in cardiac, vascular radiology including cardiac MRI and echocardiography at Southampton General Hospital and St Thomas Hospital, London. She joined Queensland X-Ray in 1997, and completed mini fellowships and VMO sessions at Prince Charles Hospital 2005-06. Dr Carter completed her CT coronary artery training in 2008-09, and was accredited in 2010.

Areas of special interest: Cardiothoracic/cardiovascular imaging, (CT, MRI, echocardiography) and breast and gynae imaging.

Dr Bronwyn Rogers MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Rogers completed her radiology training at the Mater Public and Princess Alexandra Hospitals. She also completed a clinical Fellowship in Ultrasound at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg (Canada). Dr Rogers joined Queensland X-Ray in 1997 and is a visiting consultant to BreastScreen.

Areas of special interest: Mammography, obstetric and gynaecology ultrasound and bone mineral densitometry.

Dr John Evans B.MED.SCI, MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Evans trained at Royal Canberra, Brisbane Hospitals and at Royal Infirmary and Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. He also trained in Nuclear Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital and then at Addenbrooks Hospital, Cambridge (UK). Dr Evans joined Queensland X-Ray in 1998 and moved to Cairns in 2002.

Clinical Experience: Dr Clarke attained his M.B; B.S at the University of Queensland, before training in Radiology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. He completed an MRI and interventional fellowship at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, and was a staff Radiologist at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Brisbane. Dr Clarke joined Queensland X-Ray in 1998, and is currently the Radiologist-in-charge at Queensland X-Ray Mater Private Hospital, Brisbane.

Areas of special interest: MRI, interventional radiology and PET/CT.

Dr Kerry McMahon MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr McMahon trained at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, before gaining diverse and specialised experience overseas. She was the Senior Registrar Post at Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, predominantly in Women's Imaging and obtained Fellowship at 'Sally Jobe Breast Centre', Denver Colorado (USA). Dr McMahon joined Queensland X-Ray in 1999 and is a visiting consultant to BreastScreen Queensland.

Areas of special interest: Breast, obstetric and gynaecology imaging and bone mineral densitometry.

Clinical Experience: Dr Doyle has acquired a broad spectrum of specialist experience as a Consultant Radiologist with various public and private positions in the UK and Australia, before joining Queensland X-Ray in 1994.

Dr Lakshman Jayasinghe MBBS, DMRD, FRCR, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Jayasinghe was the SHO of Surgery for the Portsmouth Group of Hospitals in the UK before moving into the role of Senior Registrar of Radiology at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. After moving to Australia, he worked as Director of Neuroradiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and as Director of Radiology at Greenslopes Veterans Hospital. Dr Jayasinghe joined Queensland X-Ray in 1996.

Areas of special interest: Interventional radiology, neuroradiology and nuclear medicine.

Dr Emlyn Jones MBBS, FRACP >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Jones trained in Nephrology at Princess Alexandra Hospital, University of Newcastle (UK) and University of Western Ontario (Canada). He was the Director of the Renal Unit Toowoomba Base Hospital between1978-2001. He received his training in Nuclear Medicine at Royal Brisbane Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals. He commenced private practice in Nuclear Medicine in 1984. Dr Jones joined Queensland X-Ray in 1997.

Areas of special interest: Renal nuclear medicine and cardiac nuclear medicine.

Dr Mitesh Gandhi MBBS, MRCP (UK), FRCR, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Ghandi trained in medicine and surgery at Guys Hospital, London. He trained in General Medicine on Leicester Medical Rotation. He also trained in Radiology as Registrar and Senior Registrar, Sheffield radiology training scheme. He was a Fellow in cross sectional imaging, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, and Staff Specialist, Princess Alexandra Hospital 1995-2000. Dr Gandhi is a VMO to Princess Alexandra Hospital, and joined Queensland X-Ray in 1998.

Areas of special interest: Neuroradiology, head and neck imaging.

Dr Jean Haddad MD (France), FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Haddad trained in Toulouse, France and completed a Fellowship in Body Imaging and Interventional Radiology. He is a former Staff Radiologist at the Private Cancer Hospital in Avignon, France and the Peter McCallum Cancer Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Haddad joined Cairns Diagnostic Imaging in 2001.

Areas of special interest: Cancer imaging, body interventional and liver imaging.

Dr Russell Park MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Park was a Registrar at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, and staff Radiologist from 1983-85. He underwent his Fellowship in CT and Ultrasound at Newham District Hospital and Bristol Royal Infirmary (UK), and commenced private practice in 1985. Dr Park joined Queensland X-Ray in 2003.

Dr Murray Thorn MBChB, Dip. Obst., Dip RACR, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Thorn had Surgical and Radiology Registrar positions at Waikato Hospital (NZ). He is a former Consultant Radiologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, and commenced private practice in 1990. Dr Thorn joined Queensland X-Ray in 2003.

Areas of special interest: CT, ultrasound and radiology in developing countries. Dr Thorn has played a vital role in helping develop the Radiology Department at HEAL Africa Hospital, Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, and frequently donates his own time and finances to the project.

Clinical Experience: Clinical Experience: Graduated from the Merchant Taylors School and University of Birmingham (UK). Worked as internal medicine and radiology registrar and staff radiologist at Royal Brisbane Hospital. Completed a fellowship in CT at the University of California (USA) and a fellowship in MRI at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide. Worked in private practice from 1981 until joining the team at Queensland X-Ray in 2003. VMO to Queensland Chest Clinic and BreastScreen.

Areas of special interest: Mammography and cross-sectional imaging.

Dr Geoffrey Haussmann MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Haussmann trained at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. He commenced private practice in Brisbane before relocating to Townsville to become Director of Radiology at Townsville Hospital. Dr Haussmann joined Queensland X-Ray in 2001.

Areas of special interest: Cross-sectional imaging and MRI.

Dr Mahomed Seedat MBChB (U.C.T), FCRad (D)(SA), FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Seedat was a Radiology Registrar at the University of Natal and King Edward VIII Hospital, (South Africa) before becoming a Consultant and Acting Head of the Radiology Department at Addington Hospital. Dr Seedat joined Queensland X-Ray in 2002.

Areas of special interest: Musculoskeletal imaging, interventional radiology, CT colonography

Dr Andrew McLaughlan MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: After radiology training at PANCH and the Alfred Hospitals in Victoria, Dr McLaughlan gained experience in public and private practices including five years in his own private practice in Melbourne. Most recently, he was Director of Radiology at Goulburn Valley Base Hospital in Victoria. Dr McLaughlan returned to Queensland X-Ray after initially commencing with the practice in 2001.

Areas of special interest: Sports radiology, MRI and breast imaging.

Dr Neels Grobbelaar MBChB, FCRAD, FRANZCR (Sydney) >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Grobbelaar completed an internship in 1994 at Pretoria Academic Hospital (South Africa), followed by one year as a medical officer at the Orthopaedics Department of 1-Military Hospital in Pretoria. His Registrar training was completed from 1996-2000 in Radiology, and he undertook an MRI Fellowship in Detroit, Michigan at the Henry Ford Hospital, before moving to Australia in 2001. He commenced with Castlereagh Imaging in 2001 and relocated to Queensland X-Ray in 2005.

Areas of special interest: Musculoskeletal ultrasound/intervention and infant hip ultrasound, breast MRI.

Dr Mark Keen MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Keen was a Radiology Registrar at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, and a Locum Radiologist for several private practices in New South Wales before commencing as Radiologist at the Royal Darwin Hospital in 1993. He commenced as Director of Medical Imaging at Cairns Base Hospital in 1997. Dr Keen joined Queensland X-Ray in October 2005.

Areas of special interest: Interventional radiology.

Dr Brunie Danga-Christian MBBS, Dip.Rad. M.Med (Inter Med), FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Danga-Christian was a Radiology Registrar at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide, and later Senior Radiology Registrar at Royal Darwin Hospital. She was a Radiologist at Port Moresby General Hospital in 2000, and then at Cairns Base Hospital from 2003 before joining Queensland X-Ray in 2006.

Areas of special interest: Sports medicine and breast imaging.

Dr Vipul Parikh MBBS, MD (Radiodiagnosis) FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Parikh underwent a Residency with a Registrar position at Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, and then completed Fellowships in CT and Neuroradiology at Bombay Hospital. He was an Assistant Radiologist at Tata Memorial Hospital and consultant Radiologist in CT Scanning, Sonography and Mammography at the Nanavati Hospital. Dr Parikh then commenced a position as a Consultant Radiologist in CT and MRI at NM Medical Centre and S L Raheja Hospital (India). He joined Queensland X-Ray in 2006.

Areas of special interest: Cross-sectional imaging and image-guided procedures.

Dr Albert Chong MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Chong qualified in general medicine in 1986 from the University of Queensland and qualified in 1996 Radiology from Princess Alexandra Hospital. He worked in private practice in Hervey Bay and Maryborough before moving to Hong Kong in 2000 to work at the Adventist Hospital. Dr Chong moved back to Australia in 2006 before joining Queensland X-Ray in 2007.

Areas of special interest: Ultrasound, Cross-sectional imaging.

Dr Damayantha Seneviratne MBBS, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Seneviratne trained in medicine at the University of Queensland, qualifying in 2000 as a Radiologist. She joined Queensland X-Ray in 2011 and regularly works for BreastScreen Queensland.

Dr Myles Webb MBBS FRACP >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Webb graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993. He completed his medical registrar training and advanced physician training in Nuclear Medicine at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. He has PET credentials and full accreditation with RACP JSAC Nuclear Medicine. Dr Webb joined Queensland X-Ray in 2008.

Areas of special interest: PET and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr Glen Lightbody MBChB, FRANZCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Lightbody graduated from The University of Otago and completed specialist radiology training in Auckland, becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand college of Radiologists in 2008. Upon completing his radiology training he undertook a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship with Auckland Radiology Group. Dr Lightbody joined Queensland X-Ray in 2010.

Dr Neil Murphy MBChB (UK), MRCP, FRCR >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Murphy graduated from Liverpool University in 1998. He gained a postgraduate degree in Medicine in 2002 before commencing Radiology training in Liverpool, UK. Before moving to Australia in 2010, Dr Murphy worked as subspecialist in Head and Neck Radiology at University Hospital Aintree.

Areas of special interest: Cross-sectional imaging, Head and Neck Imaging.

Dr Stuart Ramsay MBBS (UNSW) MD(UNSW) FRACP DDU >>

Clinical Experience: Dr Ramsay’s training has been undertaken in Sydney, London and Cambridge (UK) and Seattle (USA). Between 1992-7 he worked as a specialist in Medical Imaging at Westmead and Penrith. He then became the Clinical Director of Nuclear Medicine at the Townsville Hospital until 2004. He joined Queensland X-Ray in 1997. Dr Ramsay currently works for Queensland X-Ray as a Consultant Physician in Nuclear Medicine, Echocardiography and CT Coronary Angiography. He is also Senior Lecturer in Medicine at James Cook University.

Areas of special interest: PET, Cardiac Imaging and Medical Research.
