New MRI COMING SOON to Sunnybank

The addition of a WIDE BORE 1.5T MRI scanner to our Sunnybank Private Hospital practice means Queensland X-Ray will now offer a imaging service to the local community.

The bore refers to the hole in the scanner in which patients lie for the duration of the scan. On a wide bore scanner such as at Coorparoo and Sunnybank, the diameter is greater and the bore length shorter, which significantly reduces patient claustrophobia, and allows a functional assessment of the musculoskeletal system not possible in other MRI scanners.

Opening in March 2012, the scanner will be our 5th on the south side of Brisbane and our 11th across Queensland.
